HB 26-1427
signedUniform Antitrust Pre-Merger Notification Update
Plain-English Summary
AI-generatedHB 26-1427 updates Colorado's laws related to antitrust by aligning them with recent federal guidelines. This means that when large companies want to merge or acquire each other, they must now file a special form with the state attorney general within one business day after filing it with the federal government. The bill also ensures that the state attorney general keeps sensitive information confidential and destroys documents after 120 days unless needed for legal reasons.
